Dr. Renae Attends Inspiral Paediatric Education Seminar
Practical chiropractic advice for every age and stage of life.
Dr Renae recently completed the Inspiral Paediatric Masterclass, building on her skills in gentle, brain-based chiropractic care for children.
Dr. Renae Attends Inspiral Paediatric Education Seminar
This week Dr Renae spent two days in Melbourne at the Inspiral Paediatric Masterclass, a hands-on continuing education program dedicated entirely to chiropractic care for children. It's part of an ongoing commitment to making sure the care young patients receive at Mordialloc Chiropractic reflects the most current, evidence-informed thinking in the field — not just what was taught at university.
Inspiral was founded by Dr Genevieve and Dr Rosemary Keating, two experienced chiropractors and educators who have spent close to two decades teaching a brain-based approach to paediatric chiropractic across Australia, New Zealand, the UK and Germany. Their programs are built around an evidence-based framework for assessing and adjusting children of all ages, and have now supported thousands of chiropractors in refining how they work with young patients and their families.
What Dr. Renae learnt from her time at the seminar
The two-day program was intensive and practical, combining clinical theory with hands-on workshops. Topics included:
- Posture and development — how a child's posture changes through each developmental stage, and what to look for at different ages
- Gentle, age-appropriate adjusting — refining hands-on technique for infants, toddlers and older children
- Brain development and the nervous system — a brain-based framework for understanding how chiropractic care may support healthy development
- Primitive reflexes — their role in early development and what it means when they persist longer than expected
- General childhood wellness — practical, whole-picture care for growing kids
Why ongoing education matters
Chiropractic care for children looks nothing like chiropractic care for adults — the techniques are gentler, the assessment considers a child's stage of development, and the conversation always includes the parent or guardian in the room. Keeping that skill set sharp means treating continuing education as a genuine priority, not a box to tick.
As chiropractic and neuroscience research continues to evolve, so does the best-practice approach to working with kids. Investing the time to learn directly from specialists like Dr Genevieve and Dr Rosemary means Dr Renae can bring the latest thinking straight back into the treatment room in Mordialloc.
